This fancy painted lady was patented as far back as 1976 by Richard McColley, the originator of so many of our beautiful and colorful Philodendrons. A hybrid child of such illustrious parents as dad Philodendron Burgundy and and mom Emerald Queen, she's a climbing type, the word is that she reaches 6' but we expect she can get a bit larger if happy. Large, arrowhead leaves of bright lime green with neon yellow splashing are held out on bright, lipstick pinky red stems and petioles. A potfull of wild tropical colors. New leaves come out bright, yellow plastic and add in the other colors as they grow. Each leaf seems to intuitively lean to an open space, and not hide behind its sister leaf maybe to get full advantage of the filtered sunlight that makes it down through that rainforest dappled shade, where all the plants compete for the precious sun's rays. That makes for an attractive, even shape with each leaf visible as it climbs up that tree or your pole at home. Painted Lady can be headed back to make her more of a bush if you'd like. She appreciates more light than most Philodendrons to keep up her fabulous colors.

Quick Care Guide:

• Water - Medium (3):  Water plant when dry. Plant does not like soil to always be moist, but doesn't like to stay dry once becomes dry. Water as soon as soil is dry.
• Light - Low/Med (2):  These plants need some diffused light to stay happy. Prefers if there is a window in the room, but doesn't need to be very light nor close to it.
• Difficulty - Low/Med (2):  A little less finicky than most. Doesn't require much attention at all.
